The Middleton Group designed two new sister buildings, approximately 22,000 sf total, as flex office and warehouse space in the Clements Ferry Road corridor of Charleston. The designs utilize a combination of two structural systems; a metal building structure was an economical solution for the main building mass, whereas, the front section was built of light gauge metal framing. Unlike typical industrial buildings, high clerestory windows were used to bring natural light farther into the space. The combination of lap siding and board and batten elevate the exterior design and tie it to the coastal area. The Middleton Group designed the interior office spaces for two contracting companies to meet their different needs and styles. Our interior designer worked closely with the clients to achieve a dynamic and functional work environment.
